Christine Haynes grew up in small-town Michigan and learned to sew from her mother (who learned from her mother before her). Christine graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and it was while in Chicago that she first launched her clothing label, then called Twospace. While at first she focused on one-of-a-kind conceptual pieces to be sold at indie craft fairs, the line soon made a natural shift to the modern and wearable aesthetic that remains at the heart of the company today. Each piece of Christine's eponymous clothing line, Christine Haynes, is made by hand in Los Angeles. Christine's work has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Post, The Los Angeles Times, Martha Stewart's Radio Channel, People.com, LA Weekly, Daily Candy, and NBC's Today Show, among others. Christine currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
